La Celac agrupa a los 33 países independientes de América Latina y el Caribe, y tuvo su reunión fundacional en Venezuela los días 2 y 3 de diciembre de 2011.

La llamada “disidencia“ cubana había proyectado una nueva campaña de desprestigio contra el gobierno de la Isla para este lunes 6 de enero, Día de los Reyes Magos. Pero un error periodístico de sus medios afines ha desmantelado la campaña. Martí Noticias, portal de Internet financiado por el Gobierno de EEUU, publicaba este fin de semana, por equivocación, un trabajo, fechado el día 6 de enero, en el que relataba los sucesos que iban a ocurrir ese lunes próximo, entre ellos varios arrestos de “disidentes” que trataban de repartir juguetes a niños y niñas de la Isla.
