Brasil: En lo agreste, pacientes agradecen de rodillas a los médicos cubanos

La demanda de médicos en el interior del país es gigantesca y la cubana teresa Rosales, de 47 años, se sorprende con la recepción de sus pacientes en Brejo da Madre de Deus, en el interior pernambucano. "Ellos [los pacientes] hablan de rodillas en el piso, agradeciendo a Dios. Dan besos”, afirma una médica que atendió 231 personas en este primer mes de trabajo de los profesionales que vinieron a Brasil por el Programa Mas Médicos del Gobierno Federal. El puesto de salud en que Teresa trabaja queda en el distrito de São Domingos, región pobre y castigada por la sequía.

El presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, anunció que, en el marco de las atribuciones que se le otorgarían con la aprobación de la Ley Habilitante, elevará "las normas y las penas a los niveles máximos si los dólares de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela son utilizados con fines especulativos". “Voy a poner normas y penas al máximo nivel que me permita la Constitución Nacional para este tipo de delitos, porque nosotros tenemos que equilibrar la economía”, alertó el jefe del Estado venezolano.
