Latin American rivers among most polluted in the world, says new study Telegraph.co.uk According to a report published by the World Bank, over 70 per cent of water used in the region returns to rivers with no treatment. This means that sewage and industrial waste are put back into rivers and other sources of water such as lakes and dams.

En el día de hoy, a los 91 años de edad, falleció en esta capital el destacado combatiente revolucionario José Ramírez Cruz. Hijo de campesinos pobres, inició el duro trabajo agrícola desde los nueve años de edad. Comenzó su actividad revolucionaria en el año 1938 y, desde entonces, fue un incansable dirigente de las luchas campesinas en diversas regiones de la antigua provincia de Oriente, por lo que sufrió prisión en varias ocasiones.

De acuerdo con la Ley 113 del Sistema Tributario, deben declarar los trabajadores por cuenta propia que tributen por el Régimen General.

Embajador de Cuba responde a editorial de El País

Cubainformación publica la carta enviada el pasado 6 de enero de 2014 por Eugenio Martínez Enríquez, Embajador de Cuba en España, a Jan Martínez Ahrens, Subdirector que se encuentra a cargo de “El País” en respuesta a su irrespetuoso y mentiroso editorial “Y van 55 años”, para que fuese publicada por el diario. Al parecer ni el periódico, ni el ocupado Subdirector han tenido tiempo para responder a la Embajada de Cuba en Madrid.
