Seymour Hersh: EE.UU. nos engañó respecto a Siria

Seymour Hersh publica su último, esclarecedor ensayo sobre las maquinaciones del Estado de seguridad estadounidense, esta vez respecto a Siria. Hersh presenta un caso muy convincente de que EE.UU. no poseía inteligencia verosímil de que el ataque de armas químicas en Ghouta usando haya sido realizado por tropas de Asad a pesar de que sabía que era casi seguro que grupos yihadistas locales, especialmente el Frente Al-Nusra, tenían sarín y podían utilizarlo.

Consejo Político del ALBA sesionó en Caracas

Representantes de las naciones que conforman la Alianza Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra América-Tratado de Comercio de los Pueblos (ALBA-TCP) instalaron el lunes en Venezuela el XII Consejo Político del bloque, con vistas a preparar la cumbre prevista para este martes. En la apertura del encuentro, el canciller anfitrión, Elías Jaua, señaló que la sesión se enmarca en el noveno aniversario de la organización, surgida bajo la iniciativa del líder histórico de la Revolución Cubana, Fidel Castro; y el líder bolivariano Hugo Chávez.

Piratas vencen a monarcas en campeonato cubano de béisbol

Los Piratas de la Isla de la Juventud ratificaron su condición de líder del campeonato cubano de béisbol, al vencer este lunes 5-1 al monarca vigente Villa Clara, con destaque para la positiva labor monticular del abridor Yunier Gamboa. Por otra parte, Artemisa venció 3-0 a su vecino Mayabeque para mantenerse con opciones en la lucha por la clasificación a la segunda ronda.
